Welcome

What an amazing day!  The 2010 Godalming Food Festival witnessed record visitor numbers, glorious sunshine and fantastic food delights served up by market stallholders, shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs alike.

Led by brilliant compere, Jonathan James, our talented performers at the Pepperpot Stage and busking spots throughout the town kept everyone entertained.  And the children had a great time in the Kids' Corner - thanks to the schools and nurseries who put on special activities.

A big thank you to Waitrose for their sponsorship this year and to Godalming Town Council and Waverley Borough Council for their invaluable support of this event. Thank you also to all the local businesses, organisations, performers and volunteers who made the day such as a success. There was a wonderful party atmosphere throughout Godalming Town Centre.

Congratulations to Custard Clothing, whose amazing efforts rightly won the Festival's 'Best Dressed Shop Window Competition'.  Congratulations too to Andrew Charles Meatmaster for ensuring Godalming won the Godalming vs Farncombe butchers' 'Sausage-Off'!

We'll soon be posting up photos from the day.  We'd love to hear from you if you have your own that you'd like to share.  Let us know your experiences of the Festival, we'd be really interested in how you found the day and it'll help us with the planning for next year.
